Overview:
The Ares class Light Frigate is a lightly armored attack ship. It is equipped with two long range guided torpedo’s that can be dummy fired, and three pairs of SRB missiles seen on the Hellbringer ACS Fighter. Additionally, the frigate comes with escape pods that can serve as extra crew storage. Pods can be launched manually or all at once with abort.

Action Groups
Abort: Jettison all escape pods and command unit.
1: Toggle primary engines
2: Toggle booster engine
3: Launch Torpedos (Dummy launch
4-6: Fire SRB Missiles

Recommended Combat Doctrine
Use the Ares to reinforce a fighter formation or to escort other capital ships. It carries enough weapons to devastate enemy capital vessels, and can swiftly perform combat maneuvers thanks to it’s booster engine. However, it’s lack of armor causes it to frequently succumb to lucky fighter strikes as well as larger weaponry. If destruction is imminent, jettison the crew via the escape pods for later pickup.
