For a while now, the ozone layer has grown weaker. This has caused more UV rays to enter the Earth's atmosphere, allowing sunburns to be more common. Skin cancer has risen as well, becoming one of the most common cancers out there in recent years. Even in cold countries, there is still the sun, glaring down on the skin.

Recently, a new strand of fungus has arrived, coming from certain species of livestock. This fungus likes eating skin and causing the immune system to become vulnerable. It enjoys the feeling of the sun on its gross exterior. Human skin seems like a perfect breeding ground, don't you think?
