East Inlet

Description
FEATURES
  • Shipping, rail and air routes
  • Drain point near start square
  • Hydro dam outside 25 tiles, but connects to start square (check electricity tab)

DLC
*Natural Disasters/Green Cities NOT ESSENTIAL*
  • Green Cities is just for start square viewing deck & Eco Water Outlets - without it, you'll need to put your own sewage outlets down as normal (see final screenshot)
  • Natural Disasters is just for Pumping Service building by drain point (only really there as decor!)

You will need NExt2.
Tunnels work from the start, but look better when you unlock that tile.

THEME/LUT

As ever, map layout designed around 25+ tile games ideally (I personally use 81 Tiles mod), but totally playable with 9.

ooooh, that's...not great if true! Although I use a bunch of stuff like Sharper Textures and tend to leave them left on while map-making, so...dunno!

I think to use Laviante 2.0 we have to remove all mods related to graphics. :)

Interesting, no idea about the rationale for that - I don't use UE so haven't a clue what it clashes with, but glad you sorted it!

Ah that totally makes sense - yeah I've had that before with Theme Mixer etc, not sure why it should be happening to you all of a sudden but by adjusting them you should be able to get it to where it looks as intended. :steamhappy:

I think it might be the texture scaling, I realize in retrospect. I had never played with those settings in theme mixer (although I never had to before).

Really strange, not sure what the cause could be - obviously it doesn't look that way on my system or in the screenshots. Let me know if you find out what's up with that!

Thanks for the reply. Yes I'm using Theme Mixer. In fact, no matter which texture I select (especially for cliffs) I'm getting that tiled effect which does not appear in other maps I've worked on recently. *shrug* :)

Hmm, odd - the Laviante 2.0 theme doesn't 'tile' that way for me at all (repeating patterns etc), which is why I often use it. Nothing to do with the 25 tiles, no - by 'optimised' I just mean in terms of map layout (I'll change that in description, in case it confuses anyone else!).

Obvs you've downloaded and selected the right theme - are you're using Theme Mixer 2.0? If so, check that you've manually selected the Laviante 2.0 theme in that too, as I tend to find it 'remembers' whatever mix I was using last.
