Information
The SA-23E Starfury Aurora was the main fighter used by the Earth Alliance at the dawn of the third age. Capable of almost unmatched maneuverability, they were produced in droves for service in Earthforce. A classic example of the human philosophy of “function over form”, the Starfury allowed the relatively primitive Earth Alliance go up against older and more advanced races.

Equipped with two front-facing cannons, the Starfury is well armed for its size, and has a layer of armor that is capable of taking some punishment. In addition, the Starfury is equipped with a magnetic grapple, spotlight, and antenna. Like every other small vessel, it does not have the ability to go FTL independently, and must rely on the jumpgate system or a larger vessel.

“The Mk2 SA-23E Mitchell-Hyundyne Starfury is the Earthforce standard non-atmospheric deep space interdiction and recon fighter. Starfuries are highly maneuverable, unmatched among the younger races (even the Minbari acknowledging that in this one area they are outclassed), with the ability to spin 180 degrees in under a second.”
