Very helpful. I didn't have this issue the first time I installed Fate Hunters but now, somehow I did. The only thing failing is the upload but I'm not sure what that's for (I guess it's now local instead of in the cloud like my saves? Fine by me).

IIRC the mod button only appears when mods are installed, so it would seem that the game doesn't detect the mod is present. There should be a folder .../steamapps/workshop/content/920680/1922417314/ somewhere (exact location depends on OS). If there isn't there's something wrong with the install. If it's there, one more thing you could try is to create a folder .../steamapps/common/Fate Hunter/Mods if it doesn't yet exist.

If that still does not work, copy the content of the first folder (3 OS folders and icon.png) into a subfolder Monk of the second folder (which makes it a local mod install).

No such button exists for me. When I launch the game, I see "Play, Library, Options, Credits, Quit". "Options" gives me "Fullscreen, Resolution, Master Volume, Music Volume, SFX Volume, Language, Fast Mode, Reinforcement". The build number is 4817974.

There are no other buttons. I have done an uninstall and reinstall and verified I am subscribed to the Monk mod. I have verified the integrity of the files and all were successfully validated. I can't think of what else to try at this point.

When you launch the game, there's a button labelled MODS in the main menu. This is where you need to ensure that monk is ticked.

Still not working, so I reinstalled Slay the Spire to check how it works there. Turns out, if I put a check in a box belonging to a mod when viewing Properties for either game, it doesn't do anything in either game, and unchecks itself when I launch the game.

So just to verify, when you say "Just check Monk under Mods", do you mean under the Workshop tab in Properties where mods are listed next to boxes that can be checked or unchecked, or do you mean a different place?

For comparison, when hitting the Play button to launch Slay the Spire while subscribed to mods, a popup appears that reads "Slay the Spire- Steam" with two options, "Play Slay the Spire" and "Play with Mods". When hitting the Play button to launch Fate Hunters, this does not happen. It just launches the default, unmodded version of Fate Hunters. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and made sure I was subscribed to the Monk mod. It's still not appearing.

No other mods needed. Just check Monk under Mods, then go to Play and the first character that shows up should be the monk.

I can't seem to launch this mod. I subscribed to it, and launching the game only launches the normal version, both from Steam and from a desktop shortcut. I can check a box next to the Monk mod in Properties, which shows that it IS downloaded, but it doesn't see the mod when launched, and the box unchecks itself when I return to the Properties page. Is there a secondary mod I need to have as well in order to run this?

this is a good game, why no people make more mods for it
