Hiigaran Bishop Transport - HomeWorld 2

The Hiigaran "Bishop" Transports were a convoy of large vessels transporting the crew of the new Hiigaran Mothership "Pride of Hiigara" to the AngelMoon rendezvous point. Summary:

The internal layout is very simple with just a single deck and 3 main corridors, linked by several crossing points.
All of the ships main systems are housed in separate rooms for a tidy and organised deck plan, important areas have Interior Turrets to defend against boarding parties & as well as additional airtight hanger doors to protect the control room and bridge.
The large interior hanger has docking points for upto 8 smaller support craft to refuel and re-arm, there is a sub-floor for the huge number of Gyros required, and the aft of the ship houses all of the internal thrusters in order to maintain the HomeWorld aesthetic of only having visible rear thrusters. The main drives are Ion Thrusters, augmented with Hydrogen Thrusters for forwards and reverse boost- this is no speed-machine, but it handles well for such a huge cargo ship essentially.

I really liked building this ship since it's a fairly simple shape- I actually completed 99% of the hull ( armour blocks ) in a single 5 hour session; painting the exterior, building the interior & final detailing took 4 or 5 more sessions, such is the way of things. If this ship were to be used in a Survival setting it would require an escort just like in the HW2 game ideally; the 4 hull defence Gatlings are no match for anything more threatening than a handful of fighters. Otherwise it makes for a perfect replica for use in PvP scenarios, or cinematic videos recreating iconic moments from the original game.
