You need to change your soldier's name to one of these to unlock that special character:

Sid Meier
  • Support with all PSI-abilities.

Ken Levine
  • Sniper with Snap-shot build.
Otto Zander
  • Assault with all stats at 100.

Chris Kluwe
  • Sniper with Squad sight build.

Joe Kelly
  • Heavy with Health 20, Will 100, Aim 100.

William Carter
  • Assault with Health 20, Will 80, Aim 100.
  • Added in Enemy Within

Can hero gear be used to unlock research like for research can you salvage the weapons and other gear to access the tech sooner?

If i have squadsight on my sniper and use the name Kev Levine does it cancel out squadsight or do i get them both?!
