Description
Replaces the Ranger's dog with cats. Requires the Scout Cat DLC.

(The Scout Cat DLC[civilization.com] changes the scout's dog to a trio of cats, and you get the Scout Cat DLC by linking your game with a 2K account. After launching the game, you should see the option in the bottom-right corner of the main menu.)

A little update: the change isn't permanent, the dog returned for a while. But it seems to be triggered by embark/disembark, it for some reason shuffles the models around, because now I've got another cat, a different one, not the one I had before. So my scout has a dog companion, does some scouting around, even across the seas and suddenly has a cat, does another scout thing and has the dog again. I might just relieve him from his exploration duties while he has a cat. lol

But here's the odd part. during a gameplay (like I'm still playing even right now, while typing this comment) the dog turned into a cat. A single cat, not a cat trio, like the others, just one feline. It still has the dog's growling sounds, but it's visually a cat, with animation and all. It lies down, when the unit isn't moving, like some cats in the pack and does other feline stuff. My game just decided, that a modded unit deserves your treatment. And like I said, it's during gameplay, not saving, loading, or updating mods, or anything. I've just had a unit with a dog, cleared one of the barbarian outposts and suddenly the dog's gone and there's a cat.

Got it (checked on wikipedia).
Now something odd just happend and I have no clue, if its because of your mod, or the DLC (the one from subscribing to 2K), or what exactly caused that, but I'm playing a moded Civilisation, Atlantis, their scout unit was unaffected by both mods (the DLC and yours), which was fine, because it was neither the default scout, nor a ranger, so cats had no business with it whatsoever.

It's from some DLC. They added the option to pet the scout's dog, and gave that button to the cat.

Hello, love the mod, but one question. What does the "One does not simply pet a cat" thing do? It's inactive by default and I didn't figure out, how to trigger it. Tried to summon a second Scout, get him injured, tried if that function heals him (by petting the cat, maybe?), but nope, nothing. I have zero idea, what's that for.
Also regarding the mod's description, THIS mod actually changes the Scout's dog to the third cat, the original DLC just adds two kittys to the existing dog. Anyway I love it! Cheers.
