Armoured Cruiser 01

Description
Late 19th-century based loosely on the Imperieuse class, adjusted for Neter campaign play.
It is best suited for combat between 2500 and 3000m, and can win against a Plunderer at this range. The hull guns have a large arc of +/- 40 degrees so can broadside with a good angle.

-5,123 Blocks.
-79,669 Materials.
-19m/s using two 3-metre screws, steam propelled.

-4x 9.2" (234mm) guns firing APHE/FR, range 4,500m.
-8x 6.7" (170mm) guns firing APHE/FR, range 3,000m.
-6x '20-pounder' 94mm guns firing timed HE/FR (Anti-Air priority), range 1,500m
-2x twin 40mm Anti-Aircraft guns.

-Armor is mostly 2-3 layers of metal or alloy, backed with wood in critical areas. No shields.
-Lots of repair bots and materials for repair, ammo and propulsion.
-Two sets of AI, one for movement and Anti-Ship combat; the other for Anti-Air combat.
-Advanced controllers reduces boiler consumption when not using propulsion, to save materials.
-Use of PIDs to balance roll and pitch.
-Full detection for both AIs.
-Fully walkable, but the interior is rather plain.

A work of art/science

@Shaun Understandable as the two large screws are more effective.

@Zacarriss thanks for the info I’ll put these into account when I get around to updating this craft, although I’ll probably keep the 2 large screws.

@Shaun First For them all I swapped the Wood for Armored Decking blocks on the actual deck. I Extended the Citadel Armor to back and front around the guns to prevent forward and aft coring by large shells... I changed the Metal Plates on turrets to full blocks... Now while I love steam and steam screws... I heavily reworked the internals to fix the Ammo... This a it's actually hard to write it out so I will post the Changes to the Steam Power plant by Laying out an Example in the Workshop... I can get the Small Pistons to the same Power as the big ones, granted I had to use four screws.

@Zacarris may I ask what you tweaked on the gunboat and Torpedo gunboat? Info could be helpful to further releases and updates.

@Shaun Funny thing the guns are not the problem actually... Like I said an Ammo Compartment would help the most... But I love your Designs...

@Zacarriss where's the fun in being invulnerable? Joking, I'll work on it. The APS update has nerfed my ships quite badly.

that ship is beautiful af, nice one

This ship has some flaws the Turret Tops go pop really quickly against any ship with Big Crams... The Forward and Aft of the ship are badly armored... The Deck is Vulnerable to Plunging Fire being Wood... Use the Armored Deck Blocks at the least Wood is only good for Frag Liner... Lastly and most critically the Ammo is Highly Vulnerable and when one crate goes it takes out important systems, Create a Compartment for Ammo Only and Use One Layer of Heavy Armor and Wood to act as Liner... The DWG Plunderer Wrecked this Ship in Seconds as the Daisy Chain Explosion Took it out... Beyond that Nice Ship... But your Gunboat and Torpedo Boat are Better right out of the gate. Though I tweaked them as well as this one... To Explody... Not Trying to be an ass...
