Newbury Branchlines 1.60

Description
Scenery Update
Please note that this route has not currently been updated to make it fully compatible with the scenery update. You Can run the route in the latest game updates, but you will notice graphical issues caused by the automatic route conversion. A brand new update for the route is currently in development. This update will completely overhaul the whole route's scenery and track layout. Using a collection of custom assets and real life references to create a much more accurate recreation of the lines included.

The Lambourn Valley Line upgrade has now been released under a separate workshop item:

Lambourn Valley Line (Demo)

---------------------------------

Version 1.60 is now out! With the addition of the Lambourn Valley Branch, support for the class 37 update and more updates! Please see the change notes (top right of the workshop page) for full changes

Newbury branchlines is a route focusing on the branchlines around Newbury station in Berkshire, all the branchlines have now closed in real life but were open when the route is set. The current version features a stretch of the Didcot, Newbury & Southampton railway between Didcot and Winchester, as well as the Lambourn Valley and RAF Welford Branch lines. The included timetable includes express, stopping and freight services creating a very busy line where you are almost guaranteed to pass other services at stations.

The track and station layouts are as closely based on their real life 1960s counterparts as I could manage with the information available to me. I've tried to include the 'landmarks' along the route but there are a few things (such as the tunnel just outside Winchester Chesil) that can't be replicated with the route editor's current features.

I hope you enjoy the route! :)

Noted.

I've got to say the demo is fantastic much anticipating your final releases.

Thanks for the reply.

@Grumpy Englishman I've been focusing on another project recently, so once I've got that finished I'll go back to finishing up the DN&SR's overhaul. I've got a significant amount more reference material to work with than I had previously so I'll likely start over from scratch as the existing track layout is very out of scale

@slpak to quote the first paragraph of the description: "Please note that this route has not currently been updated to make it fully compatible with the scenery update. Looks pretty, but there are bugs and flaws.

Looking forward to driving this. My Dad laments the closure of this line and often talks about how he wishes he could have grabbed one of the station signs from Winchester Chesil after it closed!

yeah it is. Once I've finished the scenery overhaul, the route will get a new timetable which will fix the issue

I think one of the Timetable Trains is broken.

8:05 RAF Welford Mineral Out Freight Train driving thr class 03.

When I try to load the game I get this message:

"Couldn't find path for this service".

You could try to start the simulation again or select another service.

@Titus Groen It still works, but the current scenery is all from the games automatic conversion process, so some things may be out of place or a bit bugged. See the first paragraph of this items description above ^ for more details
