Also known as Westfield tower, and completed in 2011, 85 Castlereagh is an office building that sits next to Sydney Tower - it is embedded into the Westfield shopping centre on the Pitt St mall.

I'll be honest, this isn't my favourite project. I started this last year right after I finished the second version of Sydney Tower but left it alone, before dusting it off last month to finish. I modelled it without any reference diagrams, just by eye and photos, and the roof of the mall in particular was frustrating and odd. It has large glass walls around the mall shopfronts but I opted not to try a detailed interior. It looks a bit flat and tacky at street level, but I was happy with how the tower itself turned out.

The tower is 151m tall, the overall footprint is 4x8. It's a level 1 unique building, costs $50k. If you use Ploppable RICO it has a definition built-in for that. Employs around 80 people, spread across all education levels.

I kept the logos separate because I wanted to try using the building variations mod to offer a logo-free alternative, but I couldn't get it to turn off. My fault, not the mod, I think. Will try again on a later project.

Optional: includes my sloped bollard prop at the entrance, but not really "required".

How could you leave out the massive church of Scientology building on Castlereagh street going to the cafe at the Masonic lodge there. ? Or are you too afraid Robert like South Park to create something like that? I mean they cant sue you for making their building in a game can they !?!?!? Maybe they may get upset if you had massive uneducated jobs available and only one or two educated ones.

irl the podium is a meccano set mix-up of three different buildings: pitt street plaza, skygardens & the old ATO hq which sat under centrepoint. for the money spent (~$2bn), westfield should've got far better than they did. City of Sydney ruined this project... the original designs were amazing.

wow, nice one! this is one of the early ones I did without detailed drawings, before I found the development application index. :P
Holds up at a distance but the podium in particular is pretty rough to look at now.

heh... i was one of (dozens) the architects to work on this building. it's pretty cool seeing it show up here.
