Ganlahan, the ancients armour

Description
Ganlahan is a knight character based around the ancients and thulicite, being able to control and summon shadowy infernals to enflame him with power, at the cost of his own lifeforce.


i wanted this character to originally be based around a dark knights or a kind of shadowy dragon knight, but i decided it would bet better to try and make a character that would be more lore friendly and thematic to the game, being a Thulecite suit of armour modified bu those below, and as such being able to control and manipulate the shadows.

also, although he would make sense as an automaton he is just a possessed suit of armour by possibly a shadow creature, or a creature created by 'them' to try and use and abuse the power unleashed by the ancients.

120 sanity

global 20% damage reduction due to already being a heavy suit of armour (applied after armour)

you can activate his Enflame (default key R)
to gain stats at a cost of :
(-1 health per second)
(-1 hunger per second)

and gaining :
(+1 sanity per second)

this also grants him a 50% damage bonus and a bonus to movement speed while also heating up Ganlahan's body and emitting a light radius the hotter he becomes

this character was made to fit the kind of playstyle i enjoy as a tanky character without feeling to limited by someone like wigfried while also having a downside to his power like being limited to meat, which can get annoying and slow to work around earlier in the game.

he is also exceptional at TANKING bosses with larger sanity drain if there is enough pre-preporation with health restoration through pies, salves and heavy armour

i also feel that in a game like this it was missing some kind of "knight" or heavy armour character, especially in the workshop.

-Voicelines, i do not exactly have 3 days to type them all out, but ill get to it

-fix a bug with the Enflame that makes it not always activate when standing still and key can be help down to slightly break the character animations

as i have JUST reworked the look and feel of the character anyone who had subscribed before can comment if the changes for thematics is good, bad, and what might need work

any input from others is greatly appreciated, and i will be working on this character on and off while i play, as this will also be my personal singleplayer character when not playing the vanilla ones.

yeah, but since there's a defense buff even when the ability isn't active, there should be some sort of nerf to even it out. If not speed, because I'll admit that it's a pretty significant disadvantage, then maybe food speed? Could work out better, but eh, I'll let your mod be your mod XD

ill have a look at it, maybe while the ability is active? its a great idea but i also do not want it to make it a terrible s l o g to get around in a fight

ye, you're right, this is kinda unbalanced, maybe make him slower due to the fact that he's a heavy suit of armor? Not by much, just enough to make kiting a P A I N. I mean, that's what tanks are; strong but slow.

?, you realize you can just use the ability whenever its useful right? you dont have to which makes it upside only seeing as you can just use it whenever the upsides are more advantegeous then the downsides crippling

the idea is to burn through a lot of resources when using your ability, same as wolfgang would, better players will not notice a downside as much because they have a lot more resources to use, especially in long fights where there are a lot of hits, you may need more armour or food than usual

Seems neat, but wheres the downside? theres only a downside when you use the ability and since you can use that at will you can choose when its better to have the upsides of that effect. So seems kinda unbalanced.
