Galaxy Sizes - Ultimate (2.3 Outdated)

Description
This mod outdated and I have no possibility of updating it. A more recent version of this mod can be found here:
Ultimate Galaxy Sizes - Filled Core
Ultimate Galaxy Sizes - Empty Core

Since other mods generate galaxies where the stars are denser at the core than at the edges, but the empires are placed evenly distributed by the game, I decided to create a mod where the distribution of the stars is even.

This has the effect that you can now start a game in the center of the galaxy without 50 passing until you meet the first AI opponent.

Furthermore, many similar mods use outdated files, even though most of them are technically compatible with the current version of the game.

This mod offers the following features:

Elliptical galaxies are generated with stars in their core.
Available sizes are:
250 stars - 4,000 stars (in intervals of 250 stars each)

Spiral galaxies with 2 arms are generated with stars in their core.
Available sizes are:
500 stars - 3,000 stars (in intervals of 250 stars each)

Spiral galaxies with 4 arms are generated with stars in their core.
Available sizes are:
750 stars - 3,000 stars (in intervals of 250 stars each)

Ring-shaped galaxies are generated like elliptical galaxies, but without stars in their core.
Available sizes are:
250 stars - 1,500 stars (in intervals of 250 stars each)

The core of the galaxy is now less bright in order to make central systems and hyperlanes visible.

The maximum number of stars is 4,000, since a higher number of stars cannot be handled by normal PCs in the endgame at the latest.

Namelist-Mods are strongly recommended as this mod does not add more names for the stars! A few examples are:

Cybrxkhan's Assortment of Namelists
Realistic Star Names
Just Star Names
Elite: Dangerous Star Names

Other Mods used in the screenshots:

Quadrant Fixed

Feel free to check out Vibrant Galaxy with the corresponding patch: Vibrant Galaxy - Galaxy Sizes Patch

This mod is Iron-Man compatible, but not achievement-compatible.

Feel free to comment if you have any questions regarding this mod.

All I want is a mod that prevents AI empires from spawning on my side of the galaxy. I love anomalies and I don't want to give them up for some space vegetables.

After all updates this mod refuses to work for me. Even if i changed required version manually.

All galaxies will generate correctly, however they will do so in an (unnoticable) "old fashioned" version 2.3 style. As nearly nothing (but some minor things) has changed, this mod should still be good to go :)

I consistently play on 4k stars. I'm not sure what people mean when they say it's not working, but it's possible smaller galaxies aren't generating correctly now. But at 4k, it's business as usual.

I've got 2 active mods "Godly Traits" A star Trek Ships mod( that say it don't require any other mods) and this one the launch window says the a mod is in compatible with my current version, if i disable this mod the message is gone, I have version 2.51.

I'm still testing things because I have a lot of mods but I am going to go ahead and confirm that this DOES work for me on the latest 2.51 patch.

Check your mod manager load order and make sure Galaxy Sizes Ultimate is near the bottom so that it takes priority. I got it working by doing that and removing the patch that I originally had from here: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1833984043 (I use !vibrant galaxies and EG dimmer as well)

When you say it “doesn’t work” what exactly do you mean? Is the mod totally broken?
