Warning: I no longer have the original files and can no longer update this mod though it doesn't really need to be updated. As of July 2025, it still works flawlessly except the perception stat is at 0 [which only matters for ranged weapons]. It is still overpowered as ♥♥♥♥ in pretty much every way other way, if you use the workshop mod called Sandbox Training [which can be found here: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=779292579&searchtext=sandbox+training ] you should be able to get it up the perception stat pretty quickly and go pew-pew to your enemies :]


Edit 1: For those who use animation mods such as the "More Combat Animation" by AGO and the "Crafting Animation Overhaul] by Blubb. So why this upload? Well, The World Mechanic for whatever reason could not have any weapons attached to them. It bugged the ever living hell out of me for a long time. So, I spent about a good few months learning the Forgotten Construction Set so I can fix it! I have since fixed this so weapons do show! Nothing else has been changed. The original description can be found below.

I also cleaned up obsolete files to make it run a bit smoother.

I also changed The World Mechanic's stats [before i lost the file]. Before, some stats were at the bare minimum of 1 [due to the stats not being out at the time the original mod was released] So. It's fixed and all stats are at or over 100 [besides the perception stat]! [as of July 2025]

Description from Badgerhand's page:

"The World Mechanic has broken through to this primitive, metaphysical dimension, and now seeks to test the boundaries of its reality."

This mod adds a new game start, where you can play as a COMPLETELY OVERPOWERED CHARACTER, with a lot of money, and their own unique gear and race. The World Mechanic race is organised into subraces, so that you can be any of the preexisting playable races, plus cannibals and fogmen! (anything with the word 'disguise' in the name will give you the overpowered stats you crave)

This character can be used to test new mods, try out mechanics, explore as you see fit, or raise complete hell in the sands. I made it to test out my own mods on clean saves, but I've also been having a lot of fun just beating things up.

NOTE: You can use whatever weapon you like with The World Mechanic, but their default unarmed skill is a much more powerful variant of the regular unarmed skill, and will most likely outclass any unmodded weapon in the game. (currently requires experimental version of Kenshi)

THE WORLD MECHANIC'S UNIQUE ARMOUR & BACKPACK (These are also very overpowered):

COSMIC HEADPIECE - Who amongst us mere mortals can truly know what the World Mechanic sees?

COSMIC ROBE - A robe made from unknown materials, originally found hanging in the Paradox Wardrobe; a wardrobe that exists outside of time and space. The World Mechanic woke up inside the wardrobe one morning, after a particular debaucherous gathering where they had been celebrating the birth of Thor IV.

COSMIC SINGLET - An undershirt that defies known physics. Unprecendeted levels of perspiration absorbtion, and yet after 8000 years of wandering the cosmos, it still smells like its fresh out of the bag.

COSMIC PANTS - Legend has it these pants were woven from the fifth dimensional pubic hairs of the Colossal Space Troll. Once again, against all odds, they smell terrific.

COSMIC SANDALS - It's like walking on clouds made from your childhood memories. Banned from use in all Intergalatic athletic games.

@txmshibxje Hello! I sadly don't think I have the original files anymore. When I updated this, Perception wasn't in the game and the hat/goggles worked. Sorry for uh... being a year late. Lol.

it didn't, so i made a compatibility patch myself by adding the animation files to the subraces

@APatheticClown It should. However I am not fully sure. I myself am subscribed to the Military Craft mod. So, I'm about... 60% sure that I made it so it will work with it. I would suggest downloading both the mods along with any other extensions needed and testing it.
