Home Is Where The Hate Is (Spec Ops Update)

Beskrivning
Raven has invaded! By the time word reaches your forces they have already pushed half way into your territory. Mobilize, gain control of any and all assets and push them out of your beautiful homeland!

Large ARMA like map for long tedious missions. You will have to take longer routes and watch your speed with ground vehicles. Traversing on foot it will take longer but be more direct. Wooded areas make air support very difficult. Rolling hills can leave you scrambling as forces pop up out of no where. Capture points have unique vehicle/strategic reasons to take them. You will need to know landmarks or use your map often to navigate. Scoped weapons are a must and prepare to lead your targets while minding your drop...until someone pops up in front of you…

Set to Spec Ops and Game Length to Epic for best experience.

NOTICE: I may be done making maps. I've had a few urban, industrial and nature based maps in the works. However the map I've wanted to make/release the most I've come to a dead end on which has sapped my care to make things for such a broken and limited game. The games code base is crippled for making decent sized maps with realistic design. Perhaps if SR ever fixes the games ability to correctly implement GPU instancing I'll pick up where I left off. Until then anything I do will be "kneecapped." I may still release things but I dare say even a Radeon 6900 or RTX 3090 will struggle with things.

And remember...Ravenfield is just DOTA with guns...until the Artificial gets some Intelligence…

Game? More like Grift.  [skapare] 28 aug, 2019 @ 16:05
Also adding more height makes it even easier than it already is. Teams are way too even still with the slider all the way to one side.

"Hills are overrated". xD

Well i was just thinking of something similar to this map, but completely flat with a small hill in the center, the map dedicated to a KOTH game-style. :3

As for map requests (read in bad lounge singer voice) What do I look like Barry Manilow at a mob wedding? What were you thinking? I am doing a valley push right now. Sadly the editors assets are super limited so my "areas" and themes are just as limited. The new map already feels embarrassing because I'm reusing the same 3 assests over and over because there is nothing else. Normally you could say rotate and scale a rock to make it look different than the last even though they are the same but half the rocks aren't even complete objects so you have to hide parts of them lest they just render as "nothing/translucent."

I tried the AMGR, it's the 10 shot mag fed railgun iirc. Nice design but I don't like how it plays. New map should be "done" soon...as "done" as I can do with the editor still broken/underpowered. Which will bring my "serious" map count to 3.

Also, map request? :D

I just use the AMGR, no splash-damage, and pretty good damage. I just never give the bots explosives of any kind though, cause if i do... things go "boom" way to much.

The multiplayer is Windows only so useless for me. Yeah no anti tank, just some busters to keep them on the perimeter. Those guns aren't really for tanks anyhow, just kinda a multi purpose rocket launcher with guide by wire. With a tank up close you'd be more likely to have bots blow your ass up with splash damage. I typically carry a rail gun but with the ammo crates you just gotta take cover and spam grenades. Good use for the China Rain which I think he named "Thumper."
