Darkstar

After seeing so many cool ships on Beat Hazard 2's workshop I had to make one of my own. I focused on the ways that light and opacity interact in BH2, which gave the ship a bewitching combination of shadow and light while maximizing the energy potential. I believe Darkstar came out beautiful and I hope you'll have a lot of fun with it!

Entity known as DARKSTAR is highly aggressive and intelligent. Contact code is BLACK-FORBIDDEN for military class vessels and below. Intentions and home unknown. First reports of Darkstar are from Earth System, Mars, regarding an assault which obliterated an experimental research compound. Darkstar has been named for reportedly being a "shadow that projects an annihilating stream of light and energy."

There are two prevailing theories regarding Darkstar, as we're unaware of who or what is behind the machine. There is uncanny miniaturization, cloaking and power efficiency at play, much of it beyond the capabilities of our known physics. On the other hand, there are those who believe Darkstar exhibits supernatural behavior and power.

With such an unnaturally agile and powerful frame, the prevailing theory is that Darkstar is phasing beyond our universe and drawing power from something, somewhere. The shades of that theory range from the scientific to the superstitious... but in any case, Darkstar's alien power is as bewitching as it is potent.
