Logic Bomb v.2

J.QWalrustitty Department test subjects are told that this chamber is one large bomb, which on detonation forms a portal linked to another which is on the surface of the sun, destroying the chamber itself and anything in it. (What we didn't tell them is that this is an utter lie......... we think. We are working on portal linking a specially designed chamber with the surface of the sun to be used to generate an unlimited energy supply............. come to think of it, that chamber does look very similar to this one.......er....... um....... oh well, only one way to find out.)
(edit: minor tweaks to aesthetics and a couple of elements to try and reduce chances of having to repeat specific part of puzzle - solution not changed
