Chernobyl - Recreation

Description
This is intended to be a 1:1 recreation of Chernobyl Phase 2 (Reactors 3&4). Very early Alpha. 100% by me, having done no hammer/SourceSDK maps before, only a couple of Doom DCK maps in the 90's. Certainly nothing this complicated, or to this scale. Contact me to help if you like, I can use it for sure. So far it is pre-accident. Though I envision it to be episodic, chaining to an immediate after the accident map, and finally more current, but before the new safe confinement, with the old, ugly sarcophagus.

Ok. Apparently I need a faq. Though most was already mentioned above, but apparently needs to be restated.

Q: Why is this map so crappy? Or doesn't do <whatever>?
A: Because it's being done by someone who admittedly doesn't know what the heck he's doing, in his spare time. I mean, I'm like, hey this would be a really cool feature, then I have to look up how to do it. And often that references something I should already know how to do but don't. So I have to look that up. And invariably get the whole thing wrong a few times before I even get the most basic thing working ::cough cough:: Scripts.

Q: Does this map explode? Does it recreate the accident?
A: Not yet. But hopefully it will. Or at least one of the maps within it since it's too much for 1 map.

Q: Isn't that the place I saw on that tv show that blew up? Why isn't it wrecked?
A: It is, though I started well before the show happened. Though the show got me all excited to try and work on the map more after letting it rest for a while. But yeah it's in good shape because it's depicting the place BEFORE the accident. Because I want to be able to flesh that out before tacking a wrecked state, because I can just take the pristeen version and bash it up AFTER I've already figured out where it goes.

Q: Why is this so laggy? (Related to #1, but a separate question often)
A: Because of the size and detail of the place, I ave so many objects, brushes (Don't know why they're called something more descriptive, don't see any resemblance brushes. They should be blocks or something. Anyway...) Because of that, and my less that expert optimization, the engine is kinda close to the limits of what it can handle. Part of the reason why I'm splitting into multiple maps is I've already reached limit before, and that means I can't add more stuff to the map.

Q: Why does workshop seem to update this every time I log on?
A: Because I needlessly update whenever I add something minor? Or I needed to test if something really works coming from the workshop, and not just on my machine, which has happened before. Or I realise I messed up and uploaded map 2 without flipping it prior, so now I have to reissue the update with that fixed. Stuff like that.

I think me and my buddy executed Gordon. Line him and his cronies up along the edge of the roof and shot them off it. LoL

I don't know how to optimize it. I may have chosen the wrong game for it.

Point. Though I figured I'd flesh out the structure, to know where everything was. Then modify it to build from there. What I create from that depends on what I can do. I don't know how to optimize the map better. I'm at vertex limit, and it stutters looking down the long hallway.
