Description
Autonomous Deuterium Plant

This plant is able to produce about 200 deuterium per hour.

It is powered by a deuterium generator, so it will never run out of fuel.

On the roof of the main building there is room to attach a large container.

- Deuterium Generator
- Two Refineries
- Eight Water Pumps
- 36 Autonomous Water Purifiers
- Five Compact Containers
- Beacon

Off-Topic:
While I think Zip boxes are cheating, because they offer an excessive amount of space in the volume of a compact container, I think 'large' containers don't have enough capacity, compared to compact containers. So ... anyone want LARGE large containers? :}

1. I haven't seen the issue with unfinished blocks in blueprints. But we once had a problem where containers would not be connected to the conveyor network of the model.
2. Running out of water could be related to the previous problem. One (or two? can't remember) purifiers are actually switched off so that they don't produce more water than the refineries can handle. If you had to rebuild the purifiers, they are probably all activated.
If you have too many purifiers running, they will eventually overflow and fill up your containers with water ...
3. Personally, I consider Zip boxes cheating. While everyone can cheat (themselves) in a single player game as much as they want to, I generally avoid it. So, no Zip boxes in my blueprints. (Same for the "wheel glitch" or whatever you want to call it.)

Thanks for this building. I now have 2 of them and it will keep me supplied in Deuterium for a while. My exploration ship is powered by it and now I can keep it flying without uranium and the heavy power plants.

If you just want to finish the story, yes, this is overkill. Just like about 80% of the stuff in the workshop. ;)

Not as long as the planet has enough water and the sun is able to produce Carbon :)):steamhappy:

Isn't this overkill? I mean, 100 deuterium is easily enough to finish the game and have most of it still left over when you're done.

Thanks for letting me modify it Andreas.

Happy you all like it!

As for making it float - I just tried; it's too top-heavy and will overturn. Fixing this would either make it ugly or require a complete redesign.
If you want to adjust the legs, just build it upside down in creative, change the legs and make a new blueprint. (You can also swap out the base foundations with floating foundations this way if you want to experiment with this.)

Very nice design, I am regularly using it; the only downside I can see is if the water level is lower than the pumps ... one needs to adjust the height of the legs. If you could build it on floating panels would be great!

Cheers anyway!

Nice Design, Works great. Like it to create the needed resources for my Deuterium based flyers.
