This ship is vanilla and survival ready. It does use DLC blocks for aesthetic improvements, but those blocks are entirely or almost entirely not structurally necessary. If you do encounter a major issue, please, let me know so I can resolve it.

Knightmare Industries presents the Griffin Class Frigate, one of its latest generation of warships. With an ever growing need to have atmospheric reach, the Griffin has been designed as a small, atmosphere capable warship. Priorities in the design were flight endurance and forward armaments, sacrificing some of the typical KMI redundancies and crew comforts. The class is intended for use near gravity wells, with the capability of reaching space from the surface of a planet, as well as limited deep space missions.

The primary propulsion is Hydrogen with limited Ion Thruster backups. Hydrogen is stored in two tanks and supplied by 17 O2/H2 Generators. A single jump drive allows for long distance, deep space missions. The ship is armed with 6 Gatling Turrets, 6 Missile Turrets, 5 Interior Turrets for anti-personnel defense, 12 forward facing Rocket Launchers, and 8 forward facing Gatling Guns attached by rotor mount. Power is supplied by several small reactors and a large number of battery backups. The ship is mostly light armor, with heavy armor at the front and reinforced armor around critical components.

Flight 2 Changes:
- Armament balanced from 8 Gatling Guns, 4 Missile Turrets, and 11 Interior Turrets to 6 each of Gatling and Missile Turrets, and 5 Interior Turrets.
- Changes to crew amenities made.
- Excessive Timer blocks and O2/H2 generators removed.

The ship is built fully vanilla and survival ready, with an interior in the style of "The Expanse." If you want to remove the rotor based gatling guns, I recommend putting a protected camera there instead. I also used a light changing script to switch around the interior light settings. Its an older script and I couldn't find the original creator. The script was updated by ColTeH for my use. There are also a few other program and timer blocks if you need them. Oh, and the ship also uses DLC blocks.

Been a while since I posted something. This ship was a part of a building kick I was on a while back. There are a few others in the series that'll be releasing "soon". After Colony Wars wrapped up, I wanted to build something different and new, so I did. This was the first design to come out of that. A few things delayed the release, I had trouble naming it, I wanted to add some new stuff to the pictures, little things like that. I'm glad to finally put it out though. I hope you enjoy it!
