MW1 - Real Golden AK [AK]

The AK or also known as Avtomat Kalashnikova is a Russian assault rifle originated in the Soviet Union and was developed by Mikhail Kalashnikov. It was designed in 1946 and produced in 1948. The concept of the AK was heavily influenced by the German’s Sturmgewehr 44 since the Soviets was impressed with the StG’s rate of fire and other features. The cartridge of the AK is chambered with 7.62mm and carries 30 rounds. The AK lasted from 1949 to 1959 since a modernized AK was produced and is more improved than the original AK. It’s designation is known as the AKM which the M stands for modern or in Russian modernizírovanny. Couple difference between the AK and AKM is that they both have different milled receiver and the AKM has the slanted muzzle break for better accuracy of automatic fire, proving the AKM is far more superior than the original AK. As some will wonder, why calling the AK instead of the “AK-47”. The AK-47 was given a name as a prototype in 1947, but after those years the official name of the gun will be always known as the AK/AKM. As of today, there are many modernized AK variants (such as the AK-74M and AK-12) used by some other military (mainly Russia). The older AK may be out of service however the legacy of the old AK never dies as it is still used by other countries from Middle East to Southeast Asia.
