Buscando el archivo .ini
Una vez que hayas bajado el juego tendrás modificar el archivo CivilizationIV.ini, que se encuentra Mis Documentos -> My Games ->Sid`s meier Civilization IV



Nota: dentro de la carpeta del juego hay un acceso directo al archivo CivilizationIV.ini
Cambiando el .ini a modo ventana
Ahora abrimos el archivo CivilizationIV.ini y ubicamos la parte que dice:
Specify whether to play in fullscreen mode 0/1/ask
FullScreen = 1
y cambiamos el valor a 0, guardamos el archivo y quedará listo.
Corriendo el juego
Para que tengas una mejor experiencia, haz que la barra de tareas se oculte automáticamente, para que tengas mas espacio en la pantalla.


Cuando ejecutes el juego, este se verá como cortado, lo único que tienes que hacer es darle al botón de Maximinzar y el juego se verá como debe, a veces no aparece el cursor pero si tratas de mover el mouse hasta la parte derecha superior de la pantalla, los botones de Minimizar, Maximizar y Cerrar, deberán iluminarse cuando el cursor está sobre ellos, a veces también se resuelve si presionamos Alt+Tab.

Cosas a Tomar en cuenta
Esta guía funciona también para las expansiones de Warlords, Beyond the Sword y Civ 4 Colonization, solo que tienes que modificar en archivo .ini de cada uno para hacer que funcionen, también funciona en la versión de gog.com.

Como todos sabemos, una netbook no está optimizada para juegos, así que tendrás bajos fps, pero al ser un juego por turnos no creo que eso importe mucho.

Tienes que correr el juego antes de editar el archivo Civilization.ini, pues te aparecerá vacío cuando quieras editarlo.

El mayor factor que debes tener en cuenta a la hora de jugar es la temperatura del procesador, recomiendo que bajes el programa de core temp o algún otro programa para medir las temperaturas, donde vivo actualmente tengo temperaturas de mas de 30°C y el procesador llega a los 75°C grados cuando juego.
