Which is the better one, in comparison?

On long sessions the game starts lagging and sometimes a black screen (which goes away after alt + tab) shows up.

I'm running into an issue when I press the start button. The screen flickers between aspect ratios while the program is loading graphics, then seems to cancel the application without any error messages being posted. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Did you manage to fix it? if so, how?...
