MNF Normandie - Alsace Class Battleship

The proposed design to follow the Richelieu class of battleships never saw action or completion, but had two hulls laid down.

These battleships would equip the same quadruple 380mm main battery mounts that were on Richelieu, adding a third on the aft of the ship.

Additionally, these ships would use the improved 37mm ACAD and a forward facing triple 152mm high-angle secondary mount for heavy anti-aircraft defense.

The armament proposed would be as follows:

3 x 4 380mm Mle 1935
3 x 3 152mm Mle 1936
12 x 2 100mm Mle 1945
12 x 2 37mm ACAD
10 x 2 20mm Oerlikon
