For all you 80's fans out there here is your fanboy fantasy scene even as the hoverboard never came into existence it lives on as a retro-futuristic idea. It's Marty McFly in Back to the Future part 2.

Considering how Marty McFly got mixed up with some mean people he is in the scene trying to escape them by stealing a little girl's board that he discovers is really a hoverboard. This is some time after he acquired some self-lacing shoes which also never happened in our time. Then in a daring escape attempt he flies about before tripping off to the curb with the mean mob on his tail. As he recovers and begins to speed up on the hoverboard he is pursued by these people till a passerby car drives the wedge and they lose him.

Maybe its neo-futurism but why should that stop you from enjoying a blast from the past with this iconic movie scene? Cowabunga, dude. Let's hit the glamorous 80's!
