EMP Recovery

Really nice one. Weirdly enough doing it the first time felt really easy. Did it again the next day and I needed several attempts before I recovered the jet successfully.

My order of doing things is: Flip battery on, then set flaps to 1 and flip APU on, lightly pull back on the stick to stop falling too quickly, spool up engine one, flip on HUD, stabilize the aircraft, go full throttle and spool up engine 2 and you should be gaining altitude now. Set flaps 0 and switch off APU and then RTB

Slimer425, you gotta be fast on the toggles while remembering you're just at the stall envelope. Try to keep your airspeed rising by about 3-4 ticks/s. If you're not spooling engine 1 by about the 10 second mark, you're going to have a hard time keeping it out of the drink.

Know your plane. Keeping level with no forward thrust is forcing your airspeed under the stall threshold. Pulling back under the same conditions is like beating your airspeed with a stick until it cowers in the corner. Airspeed = life.

Slimer425, is your natural instinct to pull back? Part of the trick is multitasking to hold the aircraft at a pitch that will give you a good glide speed. Pitch too high and you slow and stall the wing. Pitch too low and you waste precious altitude. All while going through the engine restart.

ok this is impossible for me, am i doing something wrong? even keeping my plane perfectly level, there isnt even close to enough time to spool up the engines

Well, not a pilot what so ever but still managed to pass this. Good fun exercise!!

This is great! For a bonus challenge, land without any hud or electronic displays.
