The IWW, or Industrial Workers of the World, is an international labor union. It was founded in 1905 in Chicago, and is still around today with its current general office (HQ) in Chicago. The IWW combines several types of unionism with anti-capitalist, socialist, democratic ideals to move towards the "One Big Union." Anybody in any industry, profession, or job can join the IWW with the exception of bosses. While the IWW doesn't necessarily, strictly endorse a specific political ideology, its membership and ideals are often socialist or anarchist. Members of the IWW are called Wobblies.

This is a fictionalized version of the IWW General Headquarters in Chicago, Illinois. In this fictional version of the IWW, union membership has expanded exponentially as cims have become tired of the state capitalism system, necessitating expanding the space the main office takes up, and moving the bookshop into its own space in the building. In addition to that, there is now an office for publishing revolutionary literature and printing protest and strike material. A restaurant that was in the building has been bought and turned into a cooperative bar and grill. Other businesses in the building were replaced by a co-op grocery store, a co-op clothing shop selling high-quality union-made suits, and the office of RENT CONTROL.
