Lore
Built during the first cylon war the Valkyrie class battlestar is a light mini battlestar tasked with defending the homeworlds in large numbers . Because of its light armour and small size it cannot stand toe to toe with the larger cylon vessels on its own however within a small battle group or fleet its vast armament can quickly tear even the larger basestars to pieces.

It has the most guns per square inch of any other battlestar or combat vessel within colonial fleet giving it powerful offensive capability but lacking in defensive.

This ship was the first of its kind to have an ECM munitions jamming system that allowed it to have less defensive battery's and more offensive.
