30's Lesser Evil

Description
AT LONG LAST

the highly anticipated smaller version of the Evil familly is done!
I hope you guys will like it because adapting it was hard work and since it's always sortof the same car, it really became un-motivating toward the end and i really need to work on something else now.

TOUBLESHOOTING:

" My steering break in BeamNG!"

Yes, cars with uncommon chassis sizes or unusually large wheel diameter do that sometime, you can fix it in 1 of 3 way:
1- use smaller wheel and/or more front offset ( but that might ruin the style)
2- edit the BeamNG files ( watch this for help https://youtu.be/xtA7Ow18n5Y )
3- a bit of both 1 and 2

"My steering input is inverted compared to other cars in beamNG"

Using the method of Puff-Dwagon mentioned above, switch the positive and negative value of the steering in the beam files

"suspension break upon loading in BeamNG"

cars with uncommon chassis sizes or unusually large wheel diameter do that sometime, Use stronger suspention, cars of this era didn't have anything else then leaf spring anyway

"Whenever i put a fixture on the car it makes ugly holes"

The texture used to make the body transparent when using fixtures that go down in the body is controlled by a set of 3d information called "UVs" these have to be made in a certain way for automation to work well, but these restrictions are only ok with simple shapes (normal cars like a corolla body), for strange/complex shapes like these cars have, the UVs inevitably get stretched badly, making the holes for the fixtures really bad. I did my best, trust me! Luckily, most of my prewar fixtures dont need a hole at all!

Could you make another version of this with the hood length cut by at least half, and smaller wheels?
Denunn Scherd 10 Apr, 2020 @ 7:24am
Dear Gizmo,

I found that the the first sedan body not just with the negative weigh problems
but also so many values in "NaN" form and also there is a missing part on it
(That part just under the front grille), but other body style work great and well...

Thanks.

Idk, try making the weight a lot lighter or a lot heavier sometimes it's fixed the automation graphs, and I recall it not being intuitive ( negative weight made even less heavy somehow working again)

Dear Gizmo, I have just follow your instructions but the problem seems didn't fix.
I discovered that this problem just happen on the first sedan body (the most left side one).
Other body didn't have this problem.
I have also subscribed your other Evil bodies
so I have try to unsubscribe them but nothing change on this.
Your other Evil bodies work fine.
Thanks

yes, certain values important to the calculation of automation are normally generated automatically, but in this case the only way to make it work was to put custom ones in, if the game update or if you switch between "open beta" and "main branch", it might recalculate those values and overwrite them with the wrong automatic ones. re-installing the mod is a way to make sure the values are correct.
Denunn Scherd 7 Apr, 2020 @ 4:06am
Dear Gizmo, did you mean that this can fixed by deleting and re-download the mod?
Gizmo_Props  [author] 6 Apr, 2020 @ 1:33pm
you have to tweak things in automation until the curve graph are working, when their is a negative weight issue et graph aren't displaying any lines and the values show "NaN" instaed of numbers. it is possible thta you messed the mod up, all of my weird mods have custom values and will break if those values get recalculated, which can happen when updating the game, so you can also try to delete de mod and let steam redown
load it

Dear Gizmo, I can't export the car to BeamNg due to the negative weight error.
I have even try to use open beta branch it's incompatible.
Any fix for it?
Thanks.
