Description : First "Civilian" designed ship. Not designed as a military ship, this is a trading/mining ship that I tried to build on the cheap for automated mining or early trading. Cheaper, and more cargo room than the Limen which was the benchmark for it to beat. I really tried to cut back on the cost of the ship without crippling it too much. Integrity field just in case.

Lore: IMC always a strong industry leader for commercial and a few military ships had a cheap but effective hauler for companies looking for a hauler on the cheap. A wildly popular success in the market, the Pyxis was a treasure for any logistics need.

The unfortunate problem with this is there's no way to update this file anymore, Id need to make a new 2.0 version of this and upload that.

Maybe I should do that with a handful of ships.

In the 2.0 beta, this doesn't have enough energy storage to get to hyperspace.

tried other starter ships.. this is just so much better.. always returning to this one after many attempts to try out different ships.. i think i love it :) ironic..

Hey V, yeah. The design was meant to be relatively cheap, but a good cargo. Engines and thrusters are a little weaker on these guys.

I did it again, Haurbus :P

I turned this ship into a transport carrier (ie it's job is to transport fighter craft from a place of manufacture to the ships that need them), and gave it some defences like a small shield generator and 6 torpedo tubes.

I had to find away to segment cargo bays in the middle of the ship in order to convert them into more necessary components. So I created a framework box around the cargo bays and then replaced the cargo bays with frameworks to make sure I could have the internal component but then also a thin layer of hull plating covering them. It worked nicely :)
