Blood In The Jungle

Description
LOOD IN THE JUNGLE is a mixed fixed force/build and destroy/diplomacy multiplayer scenario in which each player has a rival they must defeat to win. While some players start out much stronger than others, each possesses unique strengths and weaknesses. Some of these unique features include:

* KING UNDER SIEGE: The King (Blue) initially appears to be in a terrible situation; his city is in ruins and his enemies control the only land passage on or off the island. However, his fortress is still secure as are the Royal Mines and the rebels lack siege equipment, so he must use the forces he still has to organise an alliance to lift the siege. Additionally, the King owns the majority of the transport ships on the map though he lacks the means to replace them.

* REBELS GO ALL IN: General Tlacopec's (Orange) situation, meanwhile, appears to be very strong as he begins with multiple strong hideouts and squads of troops. However, Tlacopec has no villagers and no siege equipment either. At least initially he'll be completely reliant on his allies for both, though if he can convert a villager he can build an economy of his own and potentially defeat the King himself. Economically, however, his only source of resources besides trade and fishing comes from

* TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION: Tlacopec cleverly left tax collecting towers in each tributary (except Noatlican (Yellow), which is loyal to the King) as well as garrisons. Every 5 minutes they extort their local tribe for resources to fuel Tlacopec's war machine so long as they still stand (except for Hexoco (Red), who as loyal rebels provide Tlacopec resources for free). While it may be tempting to destroy these towers immediately, that could attract the anger of the local garrison...

* HOSTAGE SITUATION: Both the King and Tlacopec have a hostage. The King holds the chief of Tolicactl (Grey) prisoner in his fortress, while Tlacopec has imprisoned the leader of Teoticuan (Purple). Each hostage would like the other dead, so it may be worthwhile to help your captor after all. Alternatively, if you could manage to escape then you could potentially convince the holder of your rival to execute them in exchange for your assistance...

* TREAD CAREFULLY: Habasco (Green) and Honoca (Teal) would love to destroy each other, but the civil war threatens them both. Tlacopec has left tax collectors that leech their resources, but the nearby garrison is far too strong to challenge at the moment. On the other hand, siding with Tlacopec could be dangerous, as Noatlican (Yellow) is loyal to the King and is easily the strongest power in the neighbourhood...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

GENERAL TLACOPEC (Orange), fresh from campaign against the BARBARIC TOLICACTL (Grey), is deployed against the REBELS OF HEXOCO (Red). However, little does the KING (Blue) realize that Tlacopec is working with the rebels! Taking advantage of the King's trust, Tlacopec installs garrisons across the country to collect taxes for himself, seizes the only bridge connecting the island city to the surrounding landmass and launches a surprise attack to overthrow the King in one sudden strike! Unfortunately for Tlacopec, the mutineers are unable to reach the King's fortress and Tlacopec lacks siege equipment or the ability to construct it, and so a stalemate develops. Both sides look for allies as the King tries to break the siege and Tlacopec tries to acquire siege equipment and reinforcements to end this revolution once and for all...

VICTORY CONDITIONS:

P1/Blue/"THE KING": Kill the treacherous GENERAL TLACOPEC (Orange)
P2/Red/"HEXOCO": Help your ally Tlacopec assassinate THE KING (Blue)
P3/Green/"HABASCO": Secure the deep jungle by killing the CHIEF OF THE HONOCA (Teal), then secure your position in the kingdom by killing either TLACOPEC or THE KING

P5/Teal/"HONOCA": Acquire deep water access by destroying the CHIEF OF THE HABASCO (Green), then guarantee your hold by dealing with either TLACOPEC or THE KING
P6/Purple/"TEOTICUAN": Crush your ancestral enemies THE TOLICACTL (Grey) by eliminating their chief, then get on the winning side by terminating THE KING or TLACOPEC
P7/Grey/"TOLICACTL": End your blood vendetta by annihilating TEOTICUAN'S CHIEF (Purple), then finish off THE KING or TLACOPEC
