有一天我闲来无事,上创意工坊来看有什么新人物mod来用,翻着翻着就找到了这个mod。
One day when I was idle, I open the SteamWorkshop to see what new mod was used for. And I found this mod.

如下面的留言,我提到了这个mod,人物的反光质感有点奇怪,看上去好像浑身都打了蜡的一样。
In the following message, I mentioned the mod. The reflective texture of the characters is a little strange. It looks like they are waxed all over.

我订阅了他@SkyRunner的mod,拆开看,发现所有人物都在用相同的bumpmap,所有贴图的alphachannel都是空白的。
I subscribed to his @SkyRunner mod and took it apart and found that all the characters were using the same blank bumpmap and that all the alpha channels of the maps were blank.

于是问作者我能不能进行这个mod的改良,作者答应了。
So I asked the author if I could improve this mod, and the author agreed.

过了大概一个月了吧,其实一个人物只要一天以内就可以做完她的贴图,但是毕竟很长时间没有做了,要找回感觉。
After about a month, in fact, a character can finish her mapping in less than one day, but I haven't done this for a long time , so I need some time to find back the feeling.

而且春节过了,又要开始上班,还要拯救华盛顿特区,好累的啊。
And after the Chinese Spring Festival, I have to start working again and save Washington, D.C. It's so tired.

但不管如何,现在这个mod已基本完成,反正都已经完成了,就上传创意工坊吧。
But anyway, this mod has been basically completed now. Anyway, it has been completed. So upload this to SteamWorkshop.

总之,这个mod是基于原来SkyRunner做的mod的贴图改良,模型动画什么的一点都没变。
In short, this mod is based on the original SkyRunner's mod mapping improvements, model and animation has not changed.

我手绘了一些贴图,来补全缺失的贴图信息,再修改了VMT文件的贴图参数,来产生这种凹凸和金属光泽的视觉效果。
I hand-drawn some maps to complete the missing mapping information, and then modified the mapping parameters of VMT files to produce this concave and convex and metallic luster visual effect.

这个mod需要玩家把游戏图像选项都调高才能明显的看出来和原mod的不同点,总之就是给高硬件配置玩家的福利。
This mod requires the player to raise the game graphical options in order to clearly see the difference between the original mod, in short, this is the welfare for high hardware configuration players.

L4D2毕竟是个很老的游戏了,反正现在都已经有了这么高的硬件性能,不调高画面不是太浪费了吗?
L4D2 is a very old game after all. Anyway, now we have such high hardware performance. Isn't it too wasteful not to raise the game graphical options?

就是在这种想法下我做的这个贴图改良。

备注:如果解包这个VPK,您会发现里头有PSD文件,要求Photoshop CS5.5以上版本打开。这是我做贴图的文件,如果您要在我的基础上继续做,这个文件可以减少您的工作量。
Note:If you unpack this VPK, you will find some PSD file in it with multiple alpha channels and require Photoshop CS5.5 or above to open it. This is my texture file, if you want to continue on my basis, this file can reduce your workload.

诺瓦露的头发在光线亮的地方跟抹了油一样难看,衣服颜色感觉不够深而且跟胶衣一样...感觉有一种说不出来的奇怪....
