Dont really remember, but was wiped by raiders in the late era.
Remember struggling with raiders and slow death from that before.
Hope it gets more challenging, made any changes?
And yeah, I usually build up a decent amount of leather and harvest plenty of tannin to buy about half of the techs, even in normal mode.
Great work on this scenario. I've died more times than I can count, still lack the Live Long And Prosper milestones on Hardcore, and am still willing to bang my head against this wall. It's a very well designed and balanced map. What really struck me was that once things got tougher, even small mechanics count. It makes a tremendous difference if a few villagers are unhappy here, whereas in the base game, it's not really THAT important. 1.5X tech cost makes it critical to use traders effectively or you'll pretty much never tech up, which in turn makes knowing trade goods and mechanics important.
Sometimes I needed to restart because my adults were killed by cave bears.
Aaarggh thanks, good work!
I always start out by placing at least two sticks flags using 'C' until coverage is fully expanded, and assign three people to each flag. Then I place a wood pile and a rock pile for them to empty their inventories into otherwise they may just stand around doing nothing.
Of course once farming and domestication is unlocked you are then free to expand at will and it's much easier to cope with food, attacks, and any losses. That's just part of the game and there's not much that can be done to make it any tougher apart from long winters, fewer wild animals and more frequent/larger raiding parties, but even those have to be limited so the settlement has a chance to recover before the next attack.
But I'm happy the scenario tends to keep players busy rather than just twiddling their thumbs.
I was missing any raider attacks till I was in copper age - but when they started to appear, they were quite tough ! I was asking my self, if it´s a bug and how can I achieve the 200 kill milestone because there was no raid at all!
at the end I finshed the 200 pop right after the 200 kill milestone.
