Tommaso Ciampa

"The Sicilian Psychopath" Tommaso Ciampa was a veteran on the independant scene when he began appearing in NXT and signed with WWE.

Ciampa was well known for his time in ROH, where he is a former World Television Champion.

Ciampa started appearing in NXT in 2015, usually tagging with Johnny Gargano. The two competed in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic that year, and after signing a contract, faced each other in the first round of the Cruiserweight Classic in 2016.

Gargano and Ciampa formed a tag team full-time later that year, going by #DIY. #DIY won the NXT Tag Team Championship over The Revival at TakeOver: Toronto, but would lose the titles in early 2017. When #DIY failed to win their rematch at TakeOver: Chicago, Ciampa turned on Gargano and brutally attacked him.

A feud with Gargano has been delayed due to an injury to Ciampa, and Ciampa wasted no time in attacking his former partner upon his return.
