Its just one asset which has to turn .. doesnt make sense at all. Performance is no argument here. Its either laziness or not implemented yet.

If all the wheels were animated, it would have a bad impact on performance.
This is the reason why are animated only a visible wheels having spokes

Of course - Ill look into it. But dont fret. It seems all the vanilla and modded tenders wheels and all the waggons wheels are not working in my mashinky install. Theyre standing still and not turning. Very ugly.

hello there its me again, for me this locomotive also has the problem with no animation in normal speed but animation showing in 2x and 3x faster speed .. so weird :|

Power values are lowered because of balance of game.
Значения мощности снижены из-за баланса игры.
