WoW Classic: Cairne Bloodhoof

Cairne Bloodhoof is the High Chieftain of the united tribes of the tauren race, in addition to being the chieftain of the Bloodhoof tribe during the vanilla era. During most of his lifetime, he lived near the shores of the Great Sea in the Barrens and served as a peerless warrior and wise leader to his people against the ceaseless attacks by their enemies, the centaur. When Thrall and the rest of his orcish and troll forces arrived on the shores of Kalimdor during the Exodus of the Horde, Cairne was intrigued by the young orc's nobility among his savagery. They soon established a friendship, and then an alliance between their races, formally adding the tauren to the Horde. After the events of the Third War and repelling the Burning Legion's invasion, Cairne assisted Thrall in establishing Durotar and Orgrimmar, then set out to establish a home for the tauren in the plains of Mulgore. A few years later, here he stands, atop the tauren capital city of Thunder Bluff.
