-----
What is this variant?
This variant includes the Core Leathers, all Gradient ColourPaks, the "Refinery Undye" & "Dye at Refinery" CraftPaks, and the Commonality AddonPaks.
Use one version or the other, not both.
-----

-----
This mod simply adds two new Leathers that can be created in different quantities at the Refinery using Fabric and Chemfuel.
-----
Synthetic Leather and Ultrasynth Leather can be crafted after researching it at a cost of 400 research work. It is Industrial-tier and requires Biofuel Refining.
-----
They can be made at the Biofuel Refinery in the following amounts:
[20] for 12 Fabric and 3 Chemfuel (Synthetic)
[100] for 60 Fabric and 15 Chemfuel (Synthetic)
[20] for 10 Quality Fabric* and 9 Chemfuel (Ultrasynth)
[100] for 50 Quality Fabric* and 45 Chemfuel (Ultrasynth)
[20] for 50 Textiles and 20 Chemfuel (Ultrasynth)
[100] for 250 Textiles and 100 Chemfuel (Ultrasynth)
Bulk crafting uses less work per item.
Although it's made at the Refinery, General Labor is the speed stat, and Crafting is the work stat.
-----
*Quality Fabric includes Synthread, Devilstrand, Hyperweave, and certain mod fabrics:
Mod -- Quality Fabric(s)
Science Never Stops -- Unobtainium Fiber
Carbon -- C-Weave
Crystalloid (Rewrite) -- Crystalsilk
VGP Garden Fabrics -- Linen
Plastic Revolution -- Steelar
Smokeleaf Industry -- Devilsleaf
RimPlas -- RimPoly, DevilSynth, Plasteel Wool, CarboSynth
Atlas' Materials -- Nylon, Kevlar
Textiles+ -- Sinstrand, Kevlar
Oni of the Rim -- Onistrand

Synthetic Leather stats:
Market Value of $2.00
Armor: 68% Sharp, 20% Blunt
Insulation: ~14°F Cold, ~16°F Heat
Commonality: 5%
Colour: RGB 195,215,120 or #C3D778
Overall, it's not quite as good as Plainleather, but it's better than Lightleather and the likes.
This is the cheap choice for when stats don't matter much.
-----
Ultrasynth Leather stats:
Market Value of $3.00
Armor: 112% Sharp, 24% Blunt
Insulation: ~20°F Cold, ~20°F Heat
Commonality: 2.5%
Colour: RGB 75,75,170 or #4B4BAA
Beauty: 1.9x (RimWorld 1.1 and onwards Only)
Overall, it's a higher-ish tier leather comparable to Bearskin.
This is the superior choice for when you need good stats.
-----
Dyed Synthetic Leathers:
Both leathers can be dyed at the Refinery. (They can also be purchased from merchants or looted.)
Also, if you have Dye Vat and/or Garden Dyes, you can dye either type of leather at the Dye Vat or Dye Barrel, respectively.
Dying can be done in quantities of 1, 20, and 100.

Included CraftPaks/AddonPaks:

Dye At Refinery: This allows you to use the dye and undye recipes at the Refinery.

Refinery Undye: This allows you to use the undye recipes at the Refinery.

Core Commonality: This changes the Commonality values of the versions of Synthetic Leather and Ultrasynth Leather from Core Leathers to 5% and 2.5%, respectively, allowing items obtained from NPCs to be made from them.

Dyed Commonality: This does the same thing as Core Commonality, but it applies to the dyed leathers added by the ColourPaks instead of the undyed leathers.
-----
Other Special Mod Compatibility:
This mod has compatibility with Door Curtains out of the box, though this mod doesn't require that one to work.
-----
If you encounter any issue with the mod, please comment, and I'll see if I can figure it out and fix it.
-----
Oh, and if you're wondering why this exists, it's just that, as of writing this (2019-01-25), I haven't found any other mods that add a way to get leather without having to deal with hunting or ranching. Fabrics aplenty, but, alas, no leathers. I like having creation options that are more toward being diverse and consistent.  ...and I ran out of plainleather. Certain items and buildings, such as many added by mods, require leathers exclusively to craft as opposed to any ol' textiles. That can quickly create an issue if several mods are acting as leather sinks. A new way of getting leather remedies the issue... as long as you also have means of getting fabric and chemfuel!

Release 23 Changelog:
- Added basic 1.6 compatibility.
- Phased out support for RimWorld v1.0.
- Added Dye At Refinery CraftPak functionality to Complete.
- (Commonality stats are unchanged compared to Release 22.)

Mirrors Only:
- Renamed "Synthetic Leather Core" to "Synthetic Leather -- Core Leathers".
- (Core Leathers) Changed Commonality stat of all added synthetic leathers to 0.
- Added two AddonPaks (Core Commonality & Dyed Commonality) to re-add the previous Commonality stats for the base leathers and the dyed variants respectively. You do not need every ColourPak to use the Dyed Commonality AddonPak.
- Removed Refinery Undye functionality from Dye At Refinery. They can now be used together.

One to change the default colours? No.
One to only have common colours? You can just use, say, the Primary I, Primary II, and Monochrome ColourPaks with the Core instead of using Complete.
(Note: Individual ColourPaks are found in the all-in-one downloads on the Nexus or at the Google Drive mirror.)

is there a colorpak that lets you change synth and ultrasynth leather into standard colors instead of the more.........eclectic variants?

Release 22: Very basic version-compatibility update for 1.5.
Let me know if there have been any universal changes to textiles that I missed that need to be accounted for.

This mod deserves a reward for best description, even before considering it's content. Synth leather look cool too.

@LittleTofoo
From Vanilla Ideology Expanded?
I haven't tested it myself, but, according to at least a couple of individuals, it functions just like any other leather, thus still giving the negative moodlet.
At least as far as I know, that mod doesn't have any provisions in place to allow synthetic leather types to be blacklisted from the check, so it is not an easy compatibility fix on my end.
It *might* be possible for someone to make a patch utilizing assembled C# code via Harmony, but that's *far* beyond my current abilities.

How do pawns with the vegan ideology feel about wearing this?
Lady Cheerybelle  [author] 22 Dec, 2022 @ 7:50am
Release 21: (Hopefully) Fixed changed synthetic leather recipes only applying to RimWorld 1.0 installations.

[Part 2/2]

-- Release 19 --
Synthetic Leather now requires 12 fabric per 20 leather instead of 15 fabric.
Added five new colours:
- Amethyst, Lilac, Mauve (Bouquet Violet ColourPak)
- Platinum, Ebony (Mono II ColourPak)
Changed mod display name naming scheme.
Fixed colour naming inconsistency in Elegant Pink ColourPak.

- Changes Relevant to "Nexus Mods" & "Google Drive" Mirrors Only -
Two new optional CraftPaks are available (one to allow dye-ing at the Refinery and one to restore the crafting ratios for SyntheLeather from before this version).
All ColourPaks and CraftPaks now have package names and updated supported versions.
Core and all AddonPaks have been consolidated into one download rather than three.

-- Release 20 --
Fixed Bouquet Violet ColourPak's incorrectly set colour values.

[Part 1/2]

Hi! I'm back on the Rim with a new update I had been considering for some time.
I wanted to make sure I was warmed back up to RimWorld modding before making the update lest I mess up again.
I messed up anyway.
...but at least I caught it quickly. Here are changelogs for releases 19 and 20.
(Why do people use my mod? I'm terrible at RimWorld modding.)
