Shadow's Hand

The first Master of the Assassins Guild made his way into the realm of shadows and felt welcome and at home. He journeyed to the throne room of the Lord of Shadow, where he beheld the sight of the slumbering god. Without fear or hesitation, he used all his abilities to sneak up on the deity and, with one quick stroke of his blade, sliced off the powerful being's hand. Amazed and angry that a lesser creature could achieve such a feat in his own realm, the Lord banished the man but allowed him to keep the hand as a trophy and a reminder to the Lord to never let his guard down.

The Assassin paid a master dwarf weaponsmith to create a dagger from the bones he removed from inside the hand and wrapped the hilt in the tanned skin as a grip. Once completed, the Master Assassin paid an elven enchanter to use the blood he had saved in a vial from the hand to enchant the weapon with the powers of a god.

What was created was known as Shadow's Hand, a legendary dagger with the ability to steal the life-force of those it attacks and grant it to the user. The blade has been passed down from Master to Master for generations in the Guild's history until it was lost and became nothing more than a tale told to children to keep them from going out at night in fear that they would have their lives stolen by the shadows.

Until, by chance, a human wandering the mountains near Whiterun came across the magical dagger. Not knowing what he had, once he made it to Whiterun, he sold the old bone dagger for enough gold to eat a hearty dinner. It has been used by the local Alchemy trainer and vendor to cut herbs and prepare goods for potions, as the knife never seems to dull and is razor sharp. If one knew what they were looking for, they might just find a special treasure inside Arcadia's Cauldron.


EDIT - Due to players having trouble locating the dagger, or it glitching into a wall I moved it's location.

UPDATE: I re-uploaded it and changed the position of the dagger. It is now located under her counter to the right where the corner is on the bottom shelf. (Kind of under the skull and boots on the counter)
