The Hertz brings the cruiser class back down to it's original purpose: Capital Ship and convoy escort. Although lacking the capital ship firepower that frigate can bring to the field, The Hertz is able to drive off multiple fighter/bomber wings at once, as well as bring small amounts of capital ship firepower to the table to supplement destroyer and battleship formations. However, a wing of escort fighters is recommended in hostile enviroments, as the Hertz's armor is quite thin.
