An unholy terror of massive forward firepower, the Ranvir is not a ship you want to be on the wrong end of. Almost all of it's firepower is aimed to the front, save for a few anti-fighter defense turrets spread throughout. The Ranvir is also capable of housing a squadron of fighters in it's hanger, which are responsible for covering the uncovered parts of the ship. The Council does not lightly deploy these ships, as the Risk-of-Loss to cost ratios are still being worked out. Scout wings need to be deployed ahead of time to plot precision jump coordinates for the Ranvir. The Ranvir usually carries a wing of the brand new Heathen Heavy Recon fighter for this purpose.
