That eerie feeling given by a brief snippet from a song in Doom 2016 letting you know that a mob is getting ready for the charge. I know that its a bad idea in scary films to do the jumpscare since its cliche and you never play the same trick twice because at that point the audience is aware its coming and we call that senstation 'predictability' in other words we know the formula by now. This however will still keep you on edge knowing how far you are from reaching the endpoint.
