Description
Greatly slows down research: every technology will cost 300% more beakers, in all game speeds.

Fixed in 2025! The mod simply doesn't conform to the new structure. Check your "My Games > Sid Meier's Civilization 5 > MODS" folder. The mod had an empty folder and a .civ5mod file outside the folder. This is how all mods used to work. Now everything lives inside the folder (and uses .modinfo files instead). Move the .civ5mod file inside the empty folder and the game should recognize it. It just stops trying if it finds the folder empty and won't read a mod file outside a folder anymore.

Just go to My Games folder Civ 5 and clear contents of the Cash folder - will bump and reset all mods should fix the not showing up problem - this is a Steam problem not the mods.

Yeah, not sure what happened with the way I packed this mod, but sometimes Steam doesn't download it correctly. :<

Nexrt time I reinstall Civ V I'll remember to take a look at that.

Works for both, but the AI on Civ5 starts with some Free Techs - so their headstart will be more noticeable with this mod.

If you're playing on King, the AI starts with one free tech.
They gain one more at Emperor, another at Immortal and another at Deity.

Does this mod works for the AI? I have two technologies while they have like.. 7, lol
