You awoke to a world basking in the exotic energies of a slumbering star, you are the children of scientists, soldiers, and support personnel stationed on this planet to study this fickle celestial anomaly.

The hibernation cycle was meant to last for two decades, long enough for the sun to stir from its slumber and the world to thaw from the long night. The facility's automated sensors were meant to gather precious data that would answer some of the questions about the mysterious phenomenon playing out in the skies above. But more importantly, you were meant to be greeted by your families.

None of that happened. Instead, you and your peers woke four centuries past your alarm, your parents and guardians are missing, and gone with them are all the answers as to why the sky is still dark.
