The Deerstalker (Standard version)

Description
Take the Fort William portion of the Highland Sleeper as far as Ashfield for a crew Change Duration : 60 mins Difficulty : Easy

This is a cut down version of an as yet unreleased full scenario, which includes running light from Haymarket TMD and marshalling the Highland sleeper, however the routing is being unreliable and the signalling buggy, i estimate it could take two days to debug, so I have suspended the project. If this scenario is popular enough and enough people ask for it I will invest the time in completeing the advanced version.

Will do, it is the better loco, it's mind-boggling how RSC could do so much worse.

Go ahead Wolf ... The original was made with the JT 67, Its a much better drive.

Would it cause problems if I used RWTools to replace the RSC Class 67 with the JT one?

It sounds better, looks better, and most importantly drives better.
Strangely enough the JT one feels like it has double the power, and the more precise braking system of both.

great trip, good AI and signals, minimising problems in scenarios is very
much appreciated by all who are lucky enough to play them. thanks............

A valid point, and I respect your advice - your scenarios are highly enjoyable and I find them some of the best out there.

I dont name trains for a reason, a named train would be expected to follow its path to conclusion, It doesnt add to realism because looking at the F9 map is unrealistic ... Trains only need to be on the correct path when they interact with or pass the player, then they must be got rid of as quickly as possible by the shortest possible route, this keeps performace high and minimises the chances of failures from mishandling like saving and resuming or tabbing at signals, Far from understanding what is going on naming trains would confuse matters and open up the scenario to questions like why is the London train heading towards Dundee?

A thoroughly enjoyable scenario, with interesting AI traffic movements and a realistic timetable. I thought that it could have perhaps been enhanced by naming the AI trains - for me, this adds another level of detail and helps me to understand what's going on (even when the timetable is fictional)! Apart from that, I greatly enjoyed it and recommend it wholeheartedly.
