Why maps 'like this' are popular - (1) Are they? I've personally never seen much maps like these. most maps, in my experience, are rather big and convoluted. (2) If they are, I suppose a relevant amount of people like them? I can't tell if you're genuinenly wondering how the popularity system of steam works, or if you don't like this particular kind of map, that just happens to be popular.
