The American Civil War ended in a stalemate, with the Confederates cementing themselves as a soverign nation. North and south quickly realized that close trade ties would still benefit both nations, which led to closer ties and even a military alliance.

I made this as a two play coop scenario for my friend and I, but I though I would share. I cant figure out how to establish diplomatic ties between nations, so the Confederate states have no diplomatic ties, and must be done manually each game. Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated
