Description
Mars is being terraformed, and you have been given the task to build a new city at the base of Olympus Mons! This map has been created using high quality topological maps from the U.S Geological Survey (https://astrogeology.usgs.gov/search/details/Mars/GlobalSurveyor/MOLA/Mars_MGS_MOLA_DEM_mosaic_global_463m/cub)

Olympus Mons is ore rich, but that is the only resource available. Train lines are being built to accomodate the vast riches the ancient volcano has to offer. And other settlements around the large inland sea have begun using ships to quickly move needed goods. Can you make Olympus Mons the crowning jewel of the Martian Alliance?

To be clear, this is not a 1:1 map. The most accurate topological data we have on Mars is only 463.094 meters per pixel. This means to ensure a good quality map, the entire area covers almost 1.1 million square kilometers (1042 km on each side)

Olympus Mons is still HUGE

Im still doing a bit of tweaking of the water on the map I may try a hand at titan, if I can find good enough elevation data. Glad you like it!

Also, Mars average low is higher then the Lowest tempeture ever recorded on eart, at Vostok Station, Antartica, it hit a Stupidly cold -126 Degrees Fahrenheit, (or -87.777 Repeating.)

Theres Also alot Of Oil under it, i think, But if you want to make a map with a shit ton of oil, choose Titan, we have only seen 20% of its Landmass, but in that area, theres hundreds of times more oil there then on EARTH, so that would be cool, But, this was Alot of dedication, and this is a REALLY good map, GOOD DAY. :steamhappy:

I am aware of a bug in this file at the moment that seems to NOT want to allow people to move in. Im looking into it.
