There, I've redone it.
Changes:
Removed the 1fps background animation
softened the background to hide the artifacts
redone the water ripple mask to make it fade with distance
added 2 firefly sizes to add variation
added very delicate air waves in the light cones
Clairtic If you feel you like this version better feel free to update the wallpaper
If you're someone else and you don't know how to apply the modified version:
open wallpaper engine
click wallpaper editor
create new wallpaper from template
2d scene
save it
go back to wallpaper engine
right click on newly created empty wallpaper
open in explorer
delete folder contents and replace with content from zip
You now should have modified version aviable in wallpaper engine in installed wallpapers
