Empire State Troopers

Description
This mod adds a Missle unit called "Troopers" to the Empire.
They are a unit of swordsmen that forgo thier shield in favor of a high calibre pistol. They have almost exactly the same stats as Swordsmen except for slight loss in melee defense and missle resistence. In return they gain increased mobility and a armor piercing ranged attack. Thier short range and inaccurracy makes them weaker then other ranged units when trading volleys, but thier ability to fire on the move and speed combined with decent melee stats makes them great at kiting melee units or rushing ranged ones especially larger monster units as bigger targets mean more shots tend to land.

Think of them as the natural progression of the Milita unit. As a hybrid unit they benifit from several Empire technology trees making them scale into a good jack of all trades unit for the late game. They are built from the 2nd Tier barracks as long as you have a Gunsmith avilible. With the addition of the Zombie Pirates I figured the Empire could use a few more guns

Could you update these to be included in the Vortex campaign, in Markus Wulfharts faction? Pretty solid unit, would love to riddle some skinks and pirates full of bullets :)

To be fair these guys re just pistoliers on foot, which would make perfect sense if we could dismount units again.

Your views are very correct. These pirate musketeers are really powerful. For this reason, the Empire should be prepared. (Since they have the option of acquiring Imperial weapons in their technology tree, why don't we arm ourselves.)
