Titles For Leaders

This mod adds historical titles for leaders and advisors of some Western European countries for more fun and roleplay.

Leading the army/navy/court is a nobleman job!

Mod adds surnames, with titles inside, to:
-England (~100)
-Scotland (~100)
-GB (combines both)
-France (~130)
-Brittany(~60)
-Aragon (~20)
-Castille (~60)
-Portugal (~50)
-Spain (Combines ARA and CAS, and adds ~50 new).
-Sweden (~90)
-Poland (~100)
-The Commonwealth (~150-200) (polish-styled mostly)
- Hungary (~80)
- Austria (~130) - mostly german ones, some may be from quite modern times, not 15th century, sry for that.
- Bohemia (~120, replaced many vanilla ones, mix of czech, silesian ducal and german titles)
- Muscowy (not Russia! It will have different titles. ~140)
-Burgundy, Flanders, Brabant, Holland, Netherlands, (~20 each)
-Denmark, Norway, (~10-20 each),
-Scandinavia (unites DAN+NOR+SWE)
-Brandendurg, Prussia, Brunswick, Saxony, Palatinate, Bavaria, (~10-20 each)
-Savoy, Milan, Genoa, Florence, Naples, (~20 each)
-Serbia, Wallachia, Moldova, (~15-20 each)
-Ottomans. (~120 )
-Everyone in german HRE - from 10 to 50+ titles. (They represent small tags not represented on map, so don't use this with Voltaire Nightmare, it get weird.)
-Croatia, Bosnia, Herzegovina, Ragusa, Serbia, Albania, Bulgaria, Transylvania, Epirus, Athens, Morea, Crete, Cyprus (~10-30 each)

Note that mostly titles created before 1650+ years are included.

Mod do not removes vanilla names, just adds many title-surnames variations to country files inside common/countries, so for most of countries included there still will be many vanilla-style names. If you wish to have only titles - remove vanilla names in files.

- Save Compatible! - (can be added mid game, probably even safely removed midgame)

- NOT IRONMAN COMPATIBLE -

(blame PDX, not me)

May be directly NOT compatible with mods that changes country files (M&T, VeF, or even mods that changes country colours on map, hmm...),

BUT (!) you can easily make it compatible by yourself:
- just copy leader names from country-file of my mod (f.e. "England", and surnames after "leader_names = {")
- and add them to country file of mod you are playing. Simple, isn't it?

Well, this turns my mod rather in database, then mod, but meh...you are free to use it in your mods, just give a credit.

06.11.2018 - Fixes for castilian, spanish, aragonese and portuguese titles.
16.11.2018 - Poland and Commonwealth.
05.01.2019 - Hungary
06.07.2020 - Austria

15.09.2025 - decided tto update mod a bit.
Added: Burgundy, Flanders, Brabant, Holland, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Brandendurg, Prussia, Brunswick, Saxony, Palatinate, Bavaria, Savoy, Milan, Genoa, Florence, Naples, Serbia, Wallachia, Moldova, Ottomans titles.
(10-20 each, some may have 30or more new titles in leader names)
25.09.25 - Almost every tag in german part of HRE.
03.10.2025 - Croatia, Bosnia, Herzegovina, Ragusa, Serbia, Albania, Bulgaria, Transylvania, Epirus, Athens, Morea, Crete, Cyprus, Ottoman update.

Known Problems:

- I had a problem with adding french and spanish letters like "é" "ñ" "ó" "ê" "â" when I was making it some time ago, so they are sometimes not included, sorry, report missing/wrong letters or signs in bug treads.
Bohemian titles may have letter problems too.

-Double names like Jean-Pierre or Frederic Augustus may cut last parts of title, also some titles are too long, and name bar of PDX is not endless.

- Women titles will be same as men ones, there are no surname-gender-differences in eu4 code I think, or I just don't know how to fix this.

Future plans: Do the same for Russia, maybe Mamluks :(
